lately i've been spending much time in the kitchen, playing with my favorite ingredients. it's nice to have fresh, colorful ingredients that can be mixed around to create different meals. plus, it keeps me from eating takeout and fast food all the time.
usually after work, i don't have time to make anything fancy or try new recipes. so i like to stick with something i know how to cut and cook-- flank steak.
i also figured that i could use the tortillas and cheese to make different meals for different days-- quesadillas, burritos, enchiladas, fajitas, the list goes on.
steak quesadilla; flank steak, tortillas, sharp cheddar cheese, mexican style four cheese blend, salsa, sour cream, salt, pepper. one of these days, i'm going to have to try it with a fried egg inside.
salsa; tomatoes, avocados, onions, lemons, cilantro, garlic, lemon peel, salt, pepper.
steak burrito; flank steak, tortillas, onions, celery, zucchinis, sharp cheddar cheese, salsa, sour cream, turmeric, salt, pepper, oil. as you can tell, pretty similar ingredients!
