a couple of weeks ago, i stopped by the local library to check out some books. and it just so happened that the library was having a back-to-school book sale! basically, i could fill up a trader's joe bag with books for only $5. there were boxes and boxes of old school encyclopedias, but those books were super heavy and i'd probably only be able to fit two in the bag-- so i opted for smaller books.


once i saw this 1961 piano pieces for children, i knew i had to get it! it might be fun to learn some new pieces and try my hand at ones i used to know how to play.


i also picked up a chinese and english new testament bible, a book on myths, a teen novel, one encyclopedia brittanica, some smaller encyclopedias,


and a 1998 collector's edition of life magazine with 'the best magazine photography of the year'.


i managed to leave the library with 13 books in my bag. it's no wonder that the bag broke by the time i got to the car. now if only i could find space in my room for these beautiful books.
