it looks like this summer's the season for weddings. and here's a look at my latest art project-- a diy wedding guestbook. ♥ the bride showed me a picture of something she liked, so i worked with my sister to make it happen. first, we had to get the right materials-- frame, matboard, and fade-resistant paper. then, we brainstormed because this project was a bit more challenging than we initially thought.


we hand-cut over a hundred hearts into four sizes; xs, s, m, l.


and glued only half of each heart down. we wanted guests to be able to open the hearts to sign inside. putting the whole thing together was kind of like putting together a puzzle,


each piece didn't seem like much up close, but from far away it looked pretty neat!
