my sister tried to get me to help her with baking-- and it wasn't so bad. i measured out the ingredients, mixed when she gave the word, and took pictures of the process. and after that, i helped myself to some warm, fresh cookies. see below for the latest recipe!

oatmeal chocolate chip cookies; 1 cup butter, 1 cup brown sugar, 1 cup white sugar, 2 eggs, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, 2 cups flour, 1 teaspoon baking powder, ½ teaspoon baking soda, 2 tablespoons milk, ½ teaspoon salt, 2 cups oatmeal, 1 cup chocolate chips.

first, cream the butter and sugar. then beat in the eggs.

after that, pour in the vanilla extract.

measure out the flour, baking powder, and baking soda.

then sift it in and give it a swirl. it's actually quite fun to watch the mixer while it's on.

now it's time to pour in the oatmeal!

after that, pour in the chocolate chips. or if you're like me, pour in craisins and call it oatmeal craisin cookies. we actually made a third set of cookies with both chocolate chips and craisins.

finally, bake it in the oven at 350° F for about ten minutes. then shove it in your face. yayy!
