when i was a kid, i used to wear all sorts of makeup (and layers of it too) for my dance performances. layers of foundation, concealer, blush, loose powder, eyeshadow, liquid and pencil eyeliner, brow pencil, false eyelashes, mascara, lip liner, and lipstick. needless to say, it took a great deal of time to get all that makeup on. over the years, my makeup collection has dwindled down quite a bit since i don't have much time for it most mornings. but i still love playing with it when i have the time! ♥

and because i love anything glitter, i simply adore sephora's shimmery eyeshadow!


but lipstick is harder to pull off-- even the ones that sparkle.


when i have the time and energy, i like to paint my nails all sorts of colors,


or try out some of the interesting brushes i rarely use!


but honestly, most of it never sees the light of day. maybe it's time for a change.
