what perfect weather for the seventeenth annual festival of books. it's my seventh year at the fair and i still keep coming back! one of the reasons is because it's so much fun to volunteer at the festival.


it's also nice to walk around campus while it's being set up,


and visit the booths before thousands of visitors arrive.



i quite like the change of scenery at usc, now that i've had time to actually learn where everything is-- plus, the campus is relatively flat compared to bruin land. but joe bruin still beats tommy trojan any day.
