it's that time of the year again for the flu (perhaps one of these days i'll save myself the trouble and get a flu shot). and if the flu wasn't bad enough, i had five other ailments to deal with. but praise the Lord for being the God who heals! even though i still feel awful, i trust that God will get me through this.

i wanted some quick comfort food so i went with a recipe for grilled cheese and tomato soup that one of my sisters from small group shared, with a few minor adjustments.

here's what i used: tomato soup from cartons (mixed two types together), white bread (instead of fresh sourdough), baby spinach, red onions, muenster cheese, brie cheese, butter, salt, pepper.

grilled cheese; over the stove, brown each side of the bread with butter. place a slice of muenster cheese, grilled red onions, and baby spinach on one slice of bread and heat until melted. salt and pepper to taste. tomato soup; heat the soup in a saucepan until hot. drop in a sliver of brie.
