this is a recipe i borrowed from one of my sister's friends, for some rich chocolate cupcakes. of course, i just assisted my sister in the kitchen because she is much more a baker than i am.

mix together ½ cup flour, 1 cup sugar, ¼ cup cocoa, 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1 cup water, ½ cup oil, 1 tablespoon vinegar, and 1 teaspoon vanilla. then in another bowl, mix together 8 oz. cream cheese, 1 egg, ⅓ cup sugar, ⅛ teaspoon salt, and 6 oz. chocolate chips.

then fill the cupcake liners with the runny batter from both bowls. i put the brown (cocoa) batter on the bottom and the lighter one on top. i forgot to add the chocolate chips, so i just sprinkled some on top.

bake at 350° F for 20 minutes until ready. lastly, i sprinkled some more cocoa powder on top.
