from there we took a relaxing two hour train ride to grand canyon national park.
it was totally worth it to ride first class-- enjoyed reclining seats that faced each other, refreshing drinks and snacks, and live folk songs.
we followed with a private bus tour around to see the sights of the south rim.
i was amazed at how beautiful the canyon was!
even though i've seen pictures before, the sheer vastness left me in awe of the Creator.
during the stay here, we shared a few meals at the grand depot café.
and had fun shopping for souvenirs (though the tax there was 11.225%)!
