today, one of my friends graduated from high school-- the ending of one chapter, and the beginning of the next. it's been quite a year, so now it's time to celebrate. yayy!


and there was no shortage of family and friends who came to support the graduates.


as the commencement came to an end, i was reminded of a quote from r.w. emerson, 'do not follow where the path may lead. go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.'


and of course, like most celebrations, the night ended with a bit of feasting.
