even though the weeks (and days) before the retreat were filled with preparations,
it all worked out in the end. it was a busy, yet restful weekend-- if that makes any sense.
and like years past, a few of us went to town for some apple dumplings,
and other apple related desserts at apple annie's during free time.
not that we really needed any...
afterward, it warmed up considerably (it was freezing all weekend),
the perfect time for a trip to cabazon outlets to shop and hang out with some friends.
of course, there's so much more to it than that-- but i'll save that for another time and place. i'm still in the process of putting the pieces back together.
