a long time ago, i decided that i would read all my journals after college graduation-- eight years worth of writing filled in about thirty journals. i used to love writing, so it wasn't hard to fill those pages.

there were books with different names,

pages filled with words, sketches, photos, and stickers,

and sometimes even letters written, but never sent.

afterwards, each journal was sent to the shredder because it's time to let go of the past.

'i hope you will also put your name at the bottom of a blank sheet of paper and let God fill it in. especially if you're worried about who you should marry or where to go to school or what training you should get and all those questions which cause young people to struggle [...] let Him fill the page, regardless of where He leads or the difficulties you will experience [...] the Lord will make His purposes and plans known in plenty of time for you to heed them.' - j. dobson
